The installer altered all video file associations, replacing thumbnails with the company logo. For a trial product limited to 10 uses, this is cheeky. It also installed a plugin for Firefox without permission. When I uninstalled the product, the thumbnails were still missing necessitating a system restore to fix the issue.
A program that changes important settings without consultation or the ability to opt out is malware in my opinion. Proceed with caution. For the files to change like that is unusual.
Our software doesn't alter any associations when used. To hear that it did, makes me wonder if there was a problem in the installation.
